The Sampled Identity (Curated Works)

The interface between India and the West, where stories created by Western scholars, romanticists, artists and pop culture, by Western educated Indian freedom fighters,Western educated Indian youth and people from the Indian diaspora meet with the reality of a struggling third world country in its endeavour to gain access to the promising world of liberal capitalism.

This is a space where the youth of the diaspora and the youth of a new liberal upper and middle class in India sample all kinds of clichés Westeners have of India and – vice versa – Indians have of the West to create an Image of modern Indian Identity.
